The Devil Wears Prada..

I received a text message from Sheila all the way from Frankfurt. She is getting me my baby bag. Yeahness!! I am pretty excited and I just have to blog about it! It is not a really expensive bag, and nope it is not a Prada. It is just a normal simple bag. Getting it in Frankfurt or Paris is definitely much more cheaper than purchasing it in Singapore. In fact my priorities have changed especially now I am entering motherhood, I no longer go crazy during Gucci sales!!! I figure a bag its just a bag. Its nice to have designer tags if its within my limits, why not. If its too expensive I can do without.

Thank you Sheila, but I am still deciding on the colours which I prefer. You still have Paris right next week.. Hmm~

Talking about Prada, I was appalled when I read a comment on the analysis of owning designer bags like Prada. She claims that owning one may lead to your husband's bankruptcy that is why she rather not have one. On top of that she described Prada under the category of high maintenance. So what is the issue she is trying to exhibit here?? Say no to Prada it kills spouse instantly?? Oh please enlighten me.

Not all men are willing/can afford to foot the bill. It is not a matter of you "rather not have" or you rather not be "high maintenance", let us be more realistic. If it is me, I will not reject. Why not? Macam pepatah melayu "rezki jangan ditolak, musuh jangan di cari."

Next, let me tell you a boring story of my life, at the age of 16, I own my first Prada canvas dark blue haversack & the price tag was $780.00. Warning you may choose to yawn or click exit. How did I get so much money? I earned it. I was working part time during school holidays to get that stupid bag!!!

These days even students can afford to carry designer bags. Teachers do not get jealous okay!! I get jealous, wondering where these kids get their money from or maybe where they get their bags from??

I confessed carrying designer bags at that point of time did boost my self esteem (during my teenage years). You are like the envy of your friends. Childish right? Oh well I was 16 back then. Now its not about that anymore, it happens to be one of my favourites besides Gucci.

Back to high maintenance?? How would you classify the category? I mean it covers in a lot of areas besides designer tags right?

The outlook? There are some lucky women who just look prosperous (in more common term "tai-tai"), but in actual fact they use the cheapest skin care & normal range of make-up. Some not so lucky ones may indulge in the most expensive skin care( going for endless spa treatment), expensive make-up or even getting the world class make-up artiste to do wonders, but still, they fail to look extravagant. So blame it on the genes?

My point is why bother or start engaging in useless conversations about how people lead their lives. Leaving such comments will only reflect back on yourself. What a pity, judging from your profound literature. The more you compare and contrast makes you wanna compete more with one another. Frankly you are not a source for a competition to start with. Tiring isn't it?

There is nothing wrong in displaying, I understand some readers are not receptive to it. Oh well its a public domain, its open for anyone to read, judge & comment. I used to get paranoid when some stuffs I read triggers me. Not now, I am learning to contain my anger at such instances. Maybe I see things differently now, I see other importance in life.

I have a good therapist, I am improving, do you need one to contain your anger?

Without flashlight, you will not be able to spot this black little one. However Blacky wants his presence to be known. So his means and methods will be pretty obvious, lying on the keyboard to attract our attention. We find cuteness in his act.

What about individuals who conceal & disguise as a camouflage when they fail to sustain their pretense, do you reckon we find cuteness in them too?? It is just a general thought..

I managed to grab this picture taken at Jalan Besar Stadium on Sunday. These days it takes weeks for a friend to send/email/transfer/bluetooth, one photo isit!!! Oh I do not blame you Azrieda.. I do understand that lately you have been busy adding collection to your sexy lingerie. I heard you had a smashing time, good bargain?? Fashionably irresistible I suppose??

While you indulge in your collection, looks like mine will be so limited. Any alluring ones available? Ladies please email me if you know of any. I am talking about nursing bra!! Shopping for nursing bra in Singapore can be a depressing ordeal!! The lack of variety of colours available makes you wanna purchase them, bring them home and bleach them in other "wild" colours.. Ok stop it with the whining. What is mainly important is great support & comfort. Agree?



Oh well I still hope they do come in colours like shocking pink, lime green, orange or chilli red? Probably while you are breastfeeding your little one, he/she may need sunglasses to protect the eyes from the annoying colours! Come on it is just a silly thought.

Blessed with considerable talent, one-time touted as the heir to Fandi Ahmad no less, Ahmad Latiff Khamaruddin has made as many headlines for disciplinary problems over the last 10 years, as well as his outstanding ability as a football player.

Many eyebrows were raised when Woodlands Wellington appointed him club captain for the 2007 season.

Last night, the newly appointed Woodlands skipper seemed to suggest he could come of age this season when he lifted the inaugural SingTel League Cup, after guiding the Rams to a 4-0 win over Sengkang Punggol at the Jalan Besar Stadium.

Given the green light to roam on the right flank and join Abdelhadi Laakkad — last season's top scorer in the S-League — upfront, Latiff's trademark effervescent style was very much the catalyst behind the Rams' first trophy success since the formation of the S-League in 1996.

.

Latiff may not have played a direct role in any of the Rams' goals, but he was always involved in the build-up and was a constant thorn to the opposition.

.

Defender Lucian Dronca got things going with a penalty in the 19th minute, before East Asians Akihiro Nakamura and Park Tae Won got on the scoreboard with strikes in the 38th and 59th minute, respectively.

.

Sengkang had no answer and their striker, Jonathon Angelucci, was sent off for a second yellow card in the 83rd minute.

.

The northern giants capped off a stunning night with Abdelhadi's lovely 85th minute free-kick goal.

It has been a tremendous start to the year for Latiff, who celebrated the birth of his first child last month.

Now, the 27-year-old is hoping to guide the Rams to their first-ever S-League title.

Said Latiff, the 1997 S-League Young Player of the Year: "It feels great, to have my baby boy Rayna Anaqi last month, then be made the club captain and now, Woodlands' first trophy.

In 2004, Latiff was axed from the national team for skipping training before a World Cup qualifier against Oman.

Recalled to the national side after two years to represent Singapore in the 2006 Tiger FC Causeway Challenge against Malaysia, Radojko Avramovic gave Latiff another chance.

But, during a trip to the United Arab Emirates last October to take on Iraq in an Asian Cup qualifier, the player acted out and was fined $2,000.

While Woodlands coach Jorg Steinebrunner is well aware of Latiff's disciplinary record, he feels the player is ready to lead by example.

Said the German: "I know Latiff can do the job. The players respect him. Never mind missing training, Latiff is now always one of the first to come to training and get the kickabout going.

"I asked him if he wanted to be captain for the upcoming season and I think he was surprised I asked. He thought about it for a while and then said yes.

The Big Orange..

Being super heavy does not hinder my way to run errands. Lately I have been keeping myself occupied, cos traveling around has been made easier for me thanks to A.L.

Being jobless is not that dreadful after all, especially when you have been working for all your life and one day you realise that you have to choose between your career or the little one. My career does not permits my stay during this beautiful journey, but they do welcome "flying mummies" back. Not a bad option, but for now there is more to life than that so called glamorous lifestyle. But looking at yourself expanding/bloating/swelling is totally hmm~. So I looked at it in a different way. The increasing cup size especially, will it stay with no stretch marks please?? Only a senseless woman will imagine pregnancy to be such a dreadful thing. Mothers & mothers-to- be out there, you all agree right with me??

• Never mind the stares you get from others when you blocked their way cos you are too big.
• The unwanted comments given if any.
  
• Remember its not fat, you are pregnant.
• Ignore the names calling.
  

Keep a positive attitude, once you are done with the whole pregnancy journey then you can start thinking about going back to your previous size. Oh well its not an easy task, but at least you have an excuse, Note popular phrase: I am mother of one. Clever right me! Okay enough said!!

By the way, recently I received a lot of offers from friends & new found friends should I need any help. I came to realise, in fact a lot of mothers out there do read my blog. Their care and concern is really wonderful. Thank you all. Now I have a long list of numbers to call for any queries when I am doubtful. Thank you ladies, especially to Ct Elisa aka Ct Nurse who have sponsored few stuffs to us. It is greatly appreciated. My shopping list is almost complete, but there is still room for more (not shy). Any more discount cards out there?? Sponsors?? I never stop looking for good bargains these few days.

The "Lalang" Roar..

Kallang roar during the AFC was amazingly overwhelming. Fantastic I would say. I did my wave even though I was home. So has it ended?? I know most of the Singaporeans will only support the team if its winning. True or False??! Bad performances, the reporters and fans will jump to any slightest opportunity to criticise the boys. If its on a winning roll, there is plentiful to write & celebrate.

I am sure most of the "so called" loyal fans of Singapore have stopped there, or am I wrong. When I mentioned to my friends, the next time they can support the S-league, their responses will be "tak main lah~" Hallo these boys are from our Singapore league. Give them your support. I bet not many will.

I even have people who called & asked me for "free" tickets during the AFC games. Don't they even know my A.L was kicked out (again) from the national???!! He have people coming up to him asking, why didn't he play for AFC. Pure insensitive or they do not know or read anything about local football.

If you are a guy reading my blog, you can try this out, take your girlfriend out for a local football game. Then if she no nuts about football you can slowly explain to her about the rules of the game. So when you are married to her in future, she will not ask you silly questions during the world cup or EPL. It can be super irritating right? Maybe she will sit beside you and enjoy the game together instead of snatching the remote to watch HBO.

Moral of my story is, since AFC is over, there is S-league coming up soon. Meanwhile, there is a Singtel League Cup going on. Finals will be on this coming Sunday,

the doctor advised me to avoid all the negative vibes and stay positive,

I am not on medication though.

I leave it to my immune system.

The theme sounded pretty fun.

The boys even went all the way to rent costumes for this function.

A.L was sweet enough to give me a call from the costume shop asking me to go just in case I change my mind.

He found a "PERFECT COSTUME" for me!!!

I told Azrieda about it & we started giggling over the phone.

Mother's Love

Most women claims that motherhood is such a wonderful experience. Frankly its not an easy task. It all depends on what kind of parent you want to be.

From my own personal experience, someone which I look up to is my mother. Not long ago she chooses for an early retirement just to take care of my unwell younger sister. Yes my younger sister is a special girl. She is intellectually challenged. Down syndrome or some senseless people calls a retard(it pains me typing his word).

Close friends would have probably heard or seen her before. She is 26 years of age, 1.55m tall & she is obese. However she is such a darling. When I was growing up with her, she used to be super temperamental and mum always takes her side!!! She reminded me time and time again, she is a special person, that is why we cannot blame her for her actions. When I was a kid, people will stare at her strangely. I even got into a fight when one of my neighbour called her a "retard"!! Maybe their vocabulary is so limited!!!

Now she is in much better condition, you can never trade in anything for a mother's love. She is willing to sacrifice part of her life for her own daughter. Ever since my mum quit her job, her condition improves and she is back adding sunshine in the house.

Due to my family background and history, I went through a couple of test. It seems fine, but I believe everything is in god's hand. When you are going through motherhood, nothing else matters. Its your own flesh & blood.

My mum born a child, which has no resemblance of her. Did she throws it in the rubbish chute?? She did not. She accepted the gift of god!! She went through a hard time, but it did not matter to her.

Until now she sings lullaby and feeds her 26 years old daughter. In her eyes she is the most beautiful daughter god has granted her.

Let's have a silent moment to our self. Think back of what we have done or said that hurt others. If you think mocking & making fun of others is what you do best, think again, god gives you beauty and brains, so use it wisely. My sister is not that lucky. Oh wait I am not comparing you to her..infact her soul is far much more beautiful than a normal human. Manusia yang cukup sifatnya.

One more thing, in life do not speak too soon kalau orang melayu cakap mulut jangan lantang sangat. Whatever you mock may happen to you one fine day, scary isn't it (amit amit jambangbayi). Let's pray for our own happiness instead of finding flaws or loopholes in someone else's.

Rejected

I received a sweet mesg from a girlfriend (macam pen pal), asking me how am I. Its been a long time since I have chatted with her and nothing changes that much.

Frankly I have been super busy lately. Her concerned gestures touched me. True, it does. I realised one thing, I am not good juggling with my time. Along the way I have neglected a lot of friends, to start with I do not have much friends to begin with, I am very selective when comes to friendship. Once bitten, twice shy.

I have not been a good friend, ever since back those days. I do not commit to alot of things especially "time". I come and go, friends would have realised by now, I am very reserved when it comes to personal affair. I do not reveal much..

I missed out birthdays, outings & gatherings & I am always forgiven.

I finally realised, how sweet my friends are. Especially those whom I have known for more than 15 years, for those new friends, Sorry if I have neglected you guys *smiles* , please have faith in my sincerity, I do not simply add people on my friendster list just to accumulate numbers. I am totally sincere. If you are on my friendster list.. I welcome you with open arms. No wonder my list consist of less than 100 friends..kwa kwa..kwa!!!

Blame it on some friends bluek!!!! Haha..

Like one of my babelicious girlfriend, she is super hot that everyone wants to be on her list including women. Too bad if you get rejected!! She lagi super selective!! She simply do not add strangers!! She has a criteria to supervine!!

My A.L does, not this one above (mcm hippo taken recently lol). He keeps another orbit photo of me riding his vespa when it was blue in colour, wearing an ugly white mushroom helmet, so orbit cha cha!!!

Talking about helmet: SHOUTOUT TO CT BUTTERFLY, do you remember when we were all in the car, I was driving Faz wrx, you guys made me wear the stupid army helmet!! eh gambar tu mana?? Legend kan!! LoL!! Semua keta tengok!!! "untuk mempertahankan diri!!"

Ok ignore that, coming back to my topic, reason I was asked this question by my gf was because.. according to my gf..

Strangers At your Doorstep..

It is seriously "No fun" when your place becomes like a "show room". I was expecting people at different timings in a day! Answering their queries on the design itself. Some were asking questions like does it comes with the "BOSE" hi-fi system as well. I feel like telling them, oh it comes with a Bang & Olfusen screen plus my black cat. How's dat!!!

Well patience is a virtue, I still ask "Would you like to have a drink?" some were so amazed by my toilet! Yah you can even sleep in my toilet! I am not kidding!! Some even ask me for my fridge plus my fisher & paykel, washer & dryer (gilerker). I bet they even want my mattress and my super ex duvet!!!

Problem with Singaporeans, they willing to pay a certain price, but they want everything including my black cat(maybe)!!! Typical of them. Well if the price is right, why not. If you appreciate modern design.

Sad to say, some of my own people do not like the concept. They find it weird, judging from the faces & comments. They were expecting Balinese style(whatever they call it), more woody concept I guess. Open concept & modern design a definite no for "some".

So I have pretty "good" bids for now, I am still sad to let go. Maybe I won't after all, still thinking. Yah it has great sentimental value for me. I have learned my lesson, maybe my next house design will just moderately affordable. Not too high end. A home should be filled with lots of love right??!!. I was only 25 years old, when I become the sole "owner" of this house. Time to let go.. sad for me, but we must all move on. I am sure all of us have dreams and bigger expectations in life. Frankly I do not just feel contented fixing coffee for others! But on second thoughts its "gourmet" coffee which I was previously serving. Different aroma & acidity, not just some 3 in 1 coffee. Hey, the instant 3 in 1 coffee can be super tasty you know!! Keyword is "are you easily contented"?!

So "gourmet" or "3 in 1".. so which one would you prefer?

These days, I was busy "struggling" for some changes in life, life its not easy when you are jobless. Some just speak to impress and yet they are still struggling for something! At that young age, I was probably starting the engine of my first car, you probably just smell the smoke!! Oh well am I bragging here who cares~ thanks to "COFFEE, TEA for you ma'am?"

Oh well I still get to keep some "remains" of it. One of my close friend (ex crew) was talking to me about her ground job. We were talking about the pay and stuff! Lucky her, she is paid quite well because it just happen that her boss loves flying the friendly skies. I admire her humbleness, she even mentioned her salary as a personal assistant, with a sigh though. She is paid well, excuse me.. but she still miss her paycheck back then. According to her for a ground job that amount is considered big ok!! I have to agree with her. I shall prepare myself of certain things if I want to go "ground".

Maybe I have to start from the scratch?? A job will always be a job, that is why you call it earning a living, how little you earn or how great you earn is part and parcel of living! Why go around insulting someone's profession. Are you that established yourself?! I am not there yet, so I dare not!!

I so envy the younger generation, at the age of 18, my sister was given a driving package on her birthday. BLUEK!!! Lucky her. I know of someone who gets her first own "platinum card", designer watch (boleh pajak ok!! LOL), first "private" property overseas, first car before hitting 25 years of age!!! All through her hardwork!! Shall not mention names ok!!

I hope this will make us realise one thing, do not go around mocking at others when you have nothing against your beautiful name. Its kinda of juvenile calling people names. Start realising, and wake up!! Rather than thinking, the whole world revolves around you. True?

It's been a while since I am jobless. It is not that devastating though. I am waiting for a big prezzie from my dearest A.L! Just a "humble" item. A stalk of rose?? Nope!! Who even cares for bouquet of red roses right?? But my prezzie gonna be red in colour!! You know when you grow older, you crave for bigger things in life..

Older women tend to be paranoid sometimes hehhe, not just over her weight and fine lines. They have higher expectations, one reason they are pretty established, and oh becos of their background. I heard these days younger boys are going after older women. Is it true???

Advise to younger boys, older women are cranky & paranoid. Be prepared.. I remembered when I was back in school, my girlfriend was so lucky back then, her boyfriend gives her pocket money of $50.00 per week. And we like go wahhhhh~

Times have changed right. That was back then.

See the world is changing everyday, move your butt & start craving for bigger changes in life, that is one key to success. Don't just stay at 50 bucks, push it higher.. Push your expectation higher!!

A Slap On your face..

The sound of his snore does not seems like a lullaby to me anymore. He rarely snores but I guess he was super tired! Trying hard to sleep, I closed my eyes slowly drifting to my wonderland. I imagined it to be some sweet lullaby.

Suddenly, I heard an acute sound of him grinding his teeth, arghhh!!!! Like a bad dream, I turned around and slapped his face gently!! He then opened his eyes, closed it back. There was suddenly total silence!! No more special sound effects. Was I glad then??

Moral of the story, a slap on the face, leaves the night peaceful & serene! So start slapping!! kwa kwa kwa ..how lame can I be!!

Kids don't try this at home, reactions to different individual varies greatly!!

Controversial returns home 2007!!

Oh dear, what is the date today. Most importantly what year it is. Oh welcome 2007!!! A bit too late?? I guess not. 365 days in a year. 365-8 = 357.. Meaning, I still have 357 days right??!! The reasons that lead to my absence was the slow internet connection I was experiencing. Lousy connection!! Another reason, photobucket was super slow as well. I wanted to upload certain pictures (what's new!!) here, but I guess it will be too backdated by then.

By the way, I have been checking my statcounter, most of my readers & friends are still coming back for updates. Thank you all (macam mana nyer star eh kwa kwa kwa) but its true lah~ some actually read my archives from my previous months, maybe to keep their memories refreshed or probably just getting to know me. Welcome to my world!

Okay, before I get everyone in a sleepy mode reading my words. I better wish a "HAPPY BELATED NEW YEAR". As usual, I never make any resolution each year, for fear that I may totally forget them halfway through the 365 days journey. I am not aimless, but I guess action speaks louder than words. 2007, will commence a great new year for both of us, cos we are waiting for the greatest gift of all.
