The Sleague game between Tampines Rovers & Home United ended with a draw, disappointing yes, but not with the team but with how the security guys acted as though they were from the SWAT team on a special task.

Let me enlighten Singaporeans about our very own local football. If you ever get lost finding location of stadiums do give me call, I will be able to guide you along.

I have no comments on the standard of our local football, you have to see it for yourself at your nearest neighbourhood stadium. However after reading my own experience you might have a change of mind.

I am a big supporter of Ahmad Latiff, supporting his hair colour in the football scene for the past years. His name is unfamiliar to most who doesn’t support local football, oh maybe he is just not popular enough?!

Yesterday, I was at the Jalan Besar Stadium, not Manchester United stadium okay! I was pushing my sleeping baby boy Rain, about 24kg heavy, on the stroller.

Have anyone been to Jalan Besar Stadium? There is a lift lobby and this entry is only for VIP cardholders. I was asked for a VIP card, I told the guy I just need to go to level 2 not the VIP area, he told me in order for me to use the lift, I need to have a card. Stunned, so I took out the so called VIP card (laminated piece of paper)

I questioned the guy, so no VIP no entry? How are mothers with stroller going to climb those stairs? The security officer told me rudely that I am lucky that I was allowed into the VIP area as I was in slippers. Now I am begging him for mercy?

My main concern was not the VIP area, I bet they don’t provide first class service or champagne there!!! In fact I saw mothers with their stroller struggling with the stairs too.

The security officer highlighted to me like a parade commander they were just doing their job. If the job doesn’t comes with compassion, & as a person if you don’t have it either, I feel sad for you.

So much for supporting the local football for all these years. A little compassion is all I ask for.
