Pink story.

I am back with calories gained.

It makes me a happy girl.

I was leaping with joy when I was welcomed by a cute boy clad in pink polo tee!

So that boy plus the bigger bad boy took me back home.

Back to our pink home!

The author sings.

I was on a quest to the moon,

When I heard who was out on Singapore Idol.

Okay, Nurul is out.

How disappointing it can be.

I seriously thought Geylang Serai would vote for her; obviously we are spoilt for choices.

If the world failed to notice, I support our local food/man/talent/football/series.

The fact is, I am a true blue minah born and breed in Singapore,

I do inspire to be a local star someday. (Beyond reach, I know)

If plan fails, do make me feel like a star in this domain of mine.

You can start with clicking appropriately.

Okay bitchy should not have been a choice below.

You see, cute Rain does not spell “Bitchy”

The contents may possess certain elements, which you may find bitchy. (you so bitter lemon!)

A cute face & a click on bitchy seems so unkind.

Maybe you may not find him cute, just because he is not “ribbonized” like a cute little parcel. (this word only exist is my dictionary for my understanding!)

So, dear world please be kind & Singapore please vote/click accordingly.

You do not want real talent to go to waste.

Don’t you!

Rain & his Rag Doll

In a search of a new kitty, we finally found something we actually fancy.

Thanks World for responding.

The little rag doll has a name, Blue we call him,

& He is a male cat.

Oh yah! I still love the fact that I am definitely surrounded by boys.

Cat included.

So C is for cat, for now!

I hope the quest of animal learning has come to the end.

Honestly, zoo visits is a better way of learning instead of turning home into a zoo!

Careful in confusing them, when Rain spots the lion or tiger, he turned around and said “Meow Mummy.”

Oh dear, some animals are not that friendly Rain!

Dear world, maybe I shall stop wearing animal prints to stop the confusion.

Meow.

Lemon Tree

Rain happens to be the only boy/son in the family.

For the time being, the family tree does not seem to expand.

To be the only girl in the family, I still feel very much loved by the boys.

However, I can never stop imagining, what if we have a pretty girl in the family.

Will the attention be diverted to her wardrobe instead of mine?

Do I really need to share my "space".

Hey I already have limited space to start with!

Just imagine I can doll her up in a range of orbit cha cha outfits. (feeling trendy)

Oh yah the ribbon on the forehead, the leggings & not forgetting the “kembang” dresses/skirts!! (*Rolled eyes*)

Okay that was wild imagination on my part!

Since I do not have a girl to play dress up with, who says boys are incapable of the same fun.

Boys do take note: This game requires adult supervision.

Rain said. “No!!!”

I can hear A.L screaming at me.

& World please take note:

This is just for laugh.

The Sambal Goreng Pengantin.

Okay if I failed to notice,

the festive season is going to last for a month.

Why are we gobbling down our food as though there is no tommorow?

The finger points at me.

Or maybe Rain.

Oh before the astronaut suit will not fit me.

It is time to face reality.

The astronaut has to fly to the moon.

No, obviously there is no ketupats there.

Maybe I should bring some?

Careful some food items are not allowed on the moon.

Save the trouble from declaring "Chilli Fried Wedding" to the aliens.

I will be back to gobble down my "sambal goreng pengantin"!!

Body Mass Index.

Do you remember when you were young and you couldn't care less about the world.

Every goodies was super tasty.

Rain reminded me of my childhood.

He also reminds me of my BMI.

What is Hari Raya if you are not bloated with carbonated soft drinks!

Name it.

I have completed the whole range of the F & N family.

& Now I need to burp badly.

Excuse me world, I have a lot of burping to do.

Salam Lebaran.

This year we gave our home a Hello Kitty feeling.

It has been painted pink.

It has been two years since we moved in, we decided to add some colours to home.

This is our second home together, and nothing beats to have a place you call home.

Happiness is not measured by the square feet of your apartment, it is how much happiness you want to filled it up with.

Many happy & sad moments we have been through but we rather preserve the happy moments as pillars to beautify our home.

This is just the beginning, god knows what the end holds.

As always I believe in my fairytale happy ending.

The world should.

And so we can live happily ever after.

If only.

This lebaran kami sekeluarga ingin menyusun sepuluh jari memohon ampun & maaf jika ada kesilapan yang lalu.

Semoga anda semua bahagia di sisi keluarga

"World peace eh"

The Age factor

These days, age is no longer a secret.

I am sure you have come across women who are overly sensitive,

when you asked them the infamous question.

"How old are you?"

This is subjective to different individuals,

I am sure you have heard of the "kind lines" (used by very kind people, cos the truth hurts)

"Oh my you do not look your age!"

Whatever it is I can't deny the fact that,

there are actually fine lines slowly showing every birthday of mine.

I do wish that a fairy godmother will wave her magic wand

and grant me a magical brush to vanish all those fine lines.

Wishful thinking.

Nevertheless, I am proud to say I am happy at 31 years old,

plus I am ready to embrace my thirties gracefully. (dah 31 pun!!)

I have no plans in competing with the younger ones,

I was there once.

It has been a journey.

I may not know what tommorow brings, I thank god for what I have.

Boy meets World

Just when the two dads thought that their boys can be the best buddies just like them.

(Lok & Latiff)

The abang Rain is not so friendly after all.

Okay we keep trying okay.

So Emre & Rain finally met.

"Abang Rain do you want to have a baby brother?"

His reply was, "No, no, no!"

Maybe he prefers a baby sister.

A chance for mummy to dress her in leggings.

Animals print perhaps?

A leopard will never change it's spot.

So the fasting month is here.

It means weeks closer for us to celebrate our lebaran.

A new colour theme to choose from.

Let's ask Rain to choose, oh yah we have not tailored or purchase our outfits yet.

There is always a last minute tailor I guess, my mother.

As usual I do not fancy being well organised, so can I leave it to the very last minute?

At least we manage to get new curtains this year.

Talking about curtains, I bought matching duvet cover and matching baju tido hokay!!

Do I really need to camouflage?!

Oh yes so that Rain cannot find his mummy and leave her to sleep in peace in the mornings!!

While normal people shopping lists consist of baju kurung, kuih tart & etc.

I am clueless of mine.

For now.

Shopping List:

3 animal prints top
1 animal prints hairband with ribbon

The joy of being an astronaut, I can find several animal prints clothing on the moon.

I guess Earth people are against animal testing. (takde makna seh!)

What is with me and animal prints heh?

Oh well, if you failed to notice I am still in the process of educating Rain.

Star wars

One bright hot Sunday, I gather some friends for a game on the field.

We all played soldiers.

The objective of this game was to shoot the cones down and then collect the items to be brought back to base & finally plant the flag.

However if you get shot you have to return to base and renew your life.

You really think that was it?!

Obviously No!!!

While trying to win the game we simply enjoy shooting one another.

Oh even the designated camera man got shot!

They say pictures paint a thousand words.

I would say the paint has painted our Sunday with happy bruises.

Paintball @ red dynasty

Thanks to the all soldiers for a spontaneous time!

Total 9 participants:

Earwan, Azlan, Azan, Ernie, A.L, Alice, Raimi, Omar & Farah.

Drive-thru

The part where I drive everyone crazy with

my endless mak nenek stories, it can be rather annoying.

I have to agree on that fact.

However life is simply too short not to be heard.

But that is not the point that I am driving at.

Most of the time, I drive A.L crazy with my super duper driving skill.

By now he must have gotten used to it.

I am not just talking about my A.L,

most men behaves like a driving instructor whilst their wife is driving.

It can be annoying,

pretty much worst than enduring my endless mak nenek whining.

They re-route your way like a free wireless navigator without fail.

For some you may expect a wireless signaling system telling you to turn left or right!

Finally when you reach your destination, they transform into the reverse camera/sensor whilst you try to park.

Annoying isn’t it?

I am proud that I passed my Singapore Driving License years ago within 3 months in just one attempt!

I am sure plenty of capable woman are able to do so!

I am not the only one.

Back to the point where I am driving at, I have to admit that my sense of judgment can be quite off!

The incapability to judge, does not disabled you!

However I believe women probably drives well when they are on their own.

Give us a break!

So husbands/fiancée/boyfriends out there, do you sound like my yellow bird at home?

Or maybe when you come across a lousy driver, do you say the infamous line ever.

“Must be a woman driver lah ni!!”

You go figure!

Star seach.

I keep on complaining that earth is filled with nasty people.

Let me do myself a favour, why not I start reflecting it back on myself.

Maybe you should too.

I classify kind people under the limited editions.

Yes world, a kind soul gave up her off days so that, the family can wear matching colourful outfits this 1st of Syawal.

Thank you.

So let's brace the fasting month first.

Ironically this has never been easy for me.

I can starve myself to death just to fit in that killer dress but when it comes to fasting there seems to be plenty of distractions.

Must be the hungry ghosts in me.

So this is going to be a season of seeking for forgiveness isn't it?

Honestly I have a list.

Who knows, you may be on my list :)

I may have a long list.

Oh well world I am just being honest.

Good night.

www.jobsearch.com

Dear world I am hoping for a new opportunity to start a new career.

I know this may not be a good time, but I do hope for a miracle.

Shall I start with a resume, please help.

The last time I had a job interview was to be a home planner. (stay at home wife SAHW)

The starting salary was not that fantastic but my employer is really a kind man.

There wasn't alot of household chores to be done as he is a very clean and neat man himself.

In fact I was not lack of anything and he worked very hard back then so that he can give this employee the extra bonuses.

Thank you.

However, as soon as I fit into the astronaut suit, I tender my resignation as a home planner.

Honestly being an astronaut is the best deal I can ever dream of.

However it breaks my heart when the boys are down with a temperature and they are missing dat imaginary home nurse with that imaginary sexy nurse uniform.

And where was I when a close childhood friend loses a family member?

My heart feels for my friend.

So am I ready to be of service on earth.

Do I have a resume ready?

Big question mark, are there any openings at this point of time.

Wait, let me pop a melatonin first.

I probably talk more sense when I am not fighting with moon time.

And I probably sleep better with my boys around.

Good night world, I miss Earth.

The boy in me

I remember growing up in oversized tees and shorts.

Perhaps daddy always wanted a boy.

I do not remember mum dolling me up like a princess.

Now being a mother myself, do you think it will be a great opportunity for me to doll Rain up?

Nope I shall not do that, these days I let Rain choose what he likes to wear.

I shall not make Rain a fashion victim of mine.

He shall be responsible of his own fashion statement!

I am responsible for my own.

After all, I did not fail to notice that Singapore is blessed with summer throughout the 365 days.

So let’s concentrate on the summer collections.

I probably won’t understand it because boys do not have much to accessorize, I may understand better if we are blessed with a girl in the near future.

So abang Rain, if you have a younger sister shall we dress her in tank top & torn jeans. (The jeans is torn thanks to the fat brother)

1. Let’s spare her from the ribbon besar on the forehead especially for infant. (Head band eh tu/ rimaskan!!)

2. Let’s spare her from the “silk stockings”! (Whatever they call it, panaskan dah macam sarung nangka)

I wonder if its some form of gender indications or we are just victims of the trendsetters.

Oh well in future when I have a baby girl I will probably understand.

Another reason could be, I am not that exposed to the latest fashion, traveling to the moon somehow has failed to educate me much.

Can someone pass me the latest fashion magazine!

I believe I am so passé.

Problem Sums.

Internet connectivity seems like a drug,

people are addicted to.

I anticipate rehabilitation centres to progress soon in the near future.

Take me for an example, I think I am very much addicted to blogging.

I won't deny that,

and these days I am hardly bothered by the statistics of visitors that reads my blog.

Even if the world stops reading this domain of mine,

I will probably be talking to myself. (nothing new)

These days, silly people may attempt to get connected even at the kedai kopi. (eh eh over kan)

Are they trying to show they are in league of modern technology?

Okay let's point the finger at myself first.

I am guilty of it too. (sometimes)

Maybe I should check myself in to a rehab centre.

If you have been refreshing my page several times in a day,

you may want to consider yourself having the same problem too.

Just another story of the yellow bird who tweets.

The cat decided to tweet like a yellow bird.

Oh the copy cat I mean.

Since everybody has it, why not I give it a try.

Yah since the celebrities are doing it why not us! (I mean why not me.)

I may not be a superstar just yet, but can I be the twinkle little star in this free space of mine?

Honestly who bothers to take note of what we are doing or feeling most of the time.

So I am new to this, it doesn't look too complicated to figure out how to use.

It is just another medium to tell others what you are presently doing? (like who cares)

It sounds silly.

I sound/sounded silly.

Silly it may sound,

I just filled your time with a another silly story!

I like to ride a bicycle.

The place where animals belong..

The place where animals belong will be at the zoo.

They are placed together with their friends so that they do not get lonely.

Rain, please take note Barney is just a dinosaur from our imagination, in actual fact they are extinct.

So turning home into a zoo, is not a good idea after all?

So boys, can mummy free that yellow bird?

He is talking too much especially early in the morning.

Dear world please help me by telling the boys our home isn't the best habitat for the animals.

When the makciks and mak neneks fly to the moon.

I walked into the restaurant,

I was welcomed in a language so foreign to me.

I felt like a foreign object!

I felt like, as though aliens were talking to me on the moon, in an unfamiliar language.

I looked around and reconfirmed that I was on Earth.

I sat and read the menu, I understood and reconfirmed again that I was on Earth. (x2)

A lady came along, and she took my order.

I spoke in earth language she replied in the alien language!

Seriously which part of the planet is she from?

And now comes the part where I should blame myself for not taking a third language in school?

Okay, I repeat myself again, I reconfirmed I was on Earth that day!! (x3)

Born & breed here, now why should I be the one feeling like a foreigner?

Dear world, please fly me to the moon.

BreadTalk.

All of us talk everyday.

To anyone or even yourself. (sot sikit)

Some simply bitch all the time.

It is a form of communication to get the story/message/gossip/etc across.

I figure out that I simply need to talk/blog because I love to be heard.

Sometimes I failed to realise that I am pretty fond of repeating myself that is why I ended up sounding like a mak nenek/burung kakak tua.

If you failed to notice, the silly bird at home loves me. (talking about our new pet)

And oh please ignore me if this story is another repetition or has no meaning. (takde maknanyer)

Imagine if we all stop talking, and communicate through mind reading.

The ability to scan through each other minds.

Oh that can be extremely dangerous.

Speaking your mind all the time?

Imagine if you have the ability to do so, at least you don’t have to attempt to fill in the blanks.

Rain is slowly communicating through talking bits here and there.

A.L and me had two years of mind reading with Rain.

By now I guess most parents are a pro in reading the toddlers mind.

It is easier to read a toddler’s mind.

You use your instinct.

Especially when food/goodies is their main concern!

How about an adult?

Dear A.L can you read my mind what I would like to have for this year anniversary?

If you can’t, I can help you fill in the blanks.

Please do not attempt to mind read me.

I rather have alot to say than expect others to read my mind.

I am no mind reader myself, I have no ability to do so.

Alice Chen speaks her mind @ http://suzanson.blogspot.com/

You landed here because it is your choice.

You choose to read what is on my mind.

The bird who chirps like a Mak Nenek.

We are no teachers when it comes to educating Rain.

Nevertheless we try to make learning more fun.

So in an attempt to let Rain identify animals better,

we take Rain to the Singapore Zoological garden.

A.L came up with a more brilliant idea.

Why not make the home a mini zoo!!!! (nak jadi Ace Ventura tak dekni)

Here how it goes, C is for cat,

F is for fish and

B is for bird!!!

Help!! my dear A.L is making a zoo out of our home! (SOS!!)

No, oh no, let me correct myself,

turning the home into a bird park.

What's next???

E is elephant??

I hope the elephant fits through the door :P

Dear world, I am not a big fan of birds!

Sunday Morning

My shuttling hours to the moon are very irregular.

On some nights I wake up in the morning wondering where I am.

There are days when, even a Sunday looks like any other day to me.

It makes no difference.

Oh I am the astronaut after all.

I will only start asking what day it is when I walk into a crowded a shopping mall.

Time management has never been a favourite subject

I will probably score a big fat F for this subject.

I turn around and ask A.L the same question all the time.

"What day is it?"

Sometimes he would answer me cheekily and say.

" Today is ladies night!"

Ultimately irritating the boy can be!

On the positive perceptive of mine, everyday is a beautiful Sunday for me.

However I can always improve my sense of awareness with regards to the calender, for the benefit of others around me.

Yes maybe by starting with,

Today Alice blogged @ 0600hrs on Sunday the 5th of July.

And it's not a ladies night!

Oh well at least I try.

What's your skin made of?

Before my story begins,

did you guys fail to notice??

Oh yes, a revamp to my blog ''skin''

Compliments to blogger.com,

all I need to do is some layout adjustment here and there.

It is quite idiot proof I would say.

You do need to view source, in order to copy and paste.

I am no expert!!

Like finally a new smell of fresh paint in this domain of mine.

Let's make this clear, only the "skin" has changed, the author remains the same.

Seems like the mak nenek stories is here to stay.

Thank you world for listening.

Seriously this is just the voices from within.

What you see is what you get.

So Miss Alice Chen Aili aka Zanna is either funny, sweet and/or bitchy.

That depends greatly on the mak nenek story she is telling.

Sadly to say, story telling don't pay the bills.

The astronaut is off to work back on the moon, where anything you might have at home, is made from.

(Made in ________ )

Make a guess, where is this?

a) Made In China.

b) Made In Batam.

c) Made In Serangoon

d) Made in Geylang Serai.

And oh yah, even the Iphone is assembled there.

But still, I love the Iphone!!!

Another Moon Story

The space scientist cooked pasta for the astronauts.

Not that I am complaining,

I guess too much carbo was loaded, and not much to un-load.

Now tell me, should I count carbo or calories?

So what if I just accumulate these two?

I figure, I will just have to moon walk more.

Now where is that spaceship of mine!!

Plan B.

Man couldn't possibly understand why we talk about weight all the time.

And our silly strategic diet plan on how to lose weight in the shortest period of time just to fit into that killer dress.

Puteri Farah came out with silly descriptions & I could not help bursting into laughter.

Honestly we do not have a diet plan.

But we talk about losing weight all the time.

Dear fairy godmother if you cant make me thin, please make the rest of the girls fat!

Oh that will probably need some help from the wicked witch.

Alice Chen feels like a "tong gas" today.

Please help.

The brow/blog reconstruction.

One good reason why I failed to blog,

I have captured too many pictures and too little things to say.

1000 pictures in my camera, I was thinking how many mak nenek stories I need to create!

Why create a story just to impress the audience?!

One more thing, I try not to blog with an evil intention to get messages across.

Do I look like some evil witch to any of you??

From the radius of the eyebrow please tell me that I do not look wicked at all?!

Talking about eyebrows, you need to master good drawing technique in order to achieve the look you want.

And I thought that was easy!

Another solution will be opting for the eyebrow reconstruction.

Obviously there are different shapes to choose from, to match your personality.

And oh yes, you need to have a personality to start with.

A moment to ponder upon?

Oh yes the mak nenek blogged with arch eyebrows today.

(senget sikit but sungguh drama kan!)

Happy Fathers' day.

The day where fathers should be happy.

Where the mum had to buy a present!

Dear Rain, you are suppose to share the cost with mummy, however you took the easy way out!

The present traveled all the way from the moon & all Rain had to do was to deliver the box with love.

I guess love seems to be the most valuable item attached to the package!

& so today, the Mak nenek blogged with love.

The one who is always in the picture.

I can't find a perfect story for this picture, I just think its simply perfect.
